Paxil® Lawsuit Filed in Utah
A Utah college student has filed suit against SmithKlineBeecham Corp.,
the maker of the antidepressant Paxil®,
claiming that the company failed to provide adequate warning about the potential for the
drug to cause suicidal and homicidal thoughts. According to an article printed in The Salt
Lake Tribune, the student attempted suicide five times before the problem was discovered.

Paxil® Lawsuit Filed in California
Attorneys in Santa Clara County, California have filed suit against SmithKlineBeecham
Corp., the maker of the antidepressant Paxil®, claiming that the company used misleading statements
about their product that led to the subsequent addiction of people taking the drug. The suit has been
filed on behalf of all California citizens who have suffered as a result of taking Paxil®.

Jury Awards $8 Million in Wyoming Case
A jury in Wyoming has awarded $8 million in damages to the family of a man who killed his wife,
daughter, granddaughter, and then himself after taking two Paxil® tablets. The jury found that Paxil®
can cause a person to commit homicide or suicide - they attributed 80% of the fault to SmithKlineBeecham
and 20% of the fault to the man who killed his family.
